Race Description:

1 hour race in typically hilly Southern Indiana woods. There will be uphills, downhills, off-cambers, water crossings and a run down a creek. No logs to jump, some rocks but nothing killer. Almost "virgin" terrain (good knobbies recommended) and the trail will be cleared of slapper branches. Stock 50's will be given a one lap plus two minute head start before the Modified class starts, with the Big Minis starting two minutes later. Timing of race begins when Big Minis start.

Please Note:

This is strictly for fun--please leave your serious race face at home. You may bring a friend assuming that they're not the type to run to an attorney if they get a boo-boo. LIMITED ENTRY!!! Let me know if you're coming and I'll put you on the entry list.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING "SOUND"-- PLEASE READ:

As you might have heard Riverside, CA has basically banned the operation of off-road vehicles on private property. Currently Brown Co., IN, home of the Big Ten Inch, has no such ordinance. For the time being property owners there can still use their property as they see fit without government interference.

However, the handwriting is on the wall. The non-riding public hates us and to be pro-active and eliminate any problems which might occur in the future which would be the end of this event I have decided that only QUIET AS STOCK bikes will be allowed to compete. By quiet as stock I mean as quiet as a typical Japanese OEM play bike's exhaust as it comes from the showroom floor. In other words, your CRF/XR-50, TTR-50, KLX/DRZ-110 and such had better be as quiet as the day it rolled out of the showroom or you won't ride, period.

There are those of you right now who are saying "but my bike won't run with the stock muffler now that I put a big-bore kit on it!!" The solution? Run a muffler from a larger bike so that you have the exhaust volume your motor needs to run well yet still be quiet. You can modify a stock or aftermarket pipe as well AS LONG AS IT'S AS QUIET AS A STOCK BIKE. I'm currently running a modified XR-70 pipe on my BBR XR-50 with an 88cc kit and it's as quiet as stock yet still has the muffler volume to run well.

I'm letting you know about this well in advance of the event so that you can be engineering something that will work on your bike. For some it'll be as simple as bolting the stock pipe back on. For others you might have to procure a stock muffler from another bike and be adapting it to your ride. Whatever you do make sure that it is secured well to your machine-I don't want anyone starting with a quiet bike and having it suddenly get loud during the event. If a rider comes through the checkpoint with a bike that has become loud you'll be stopped at that point, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Bottom line? It's our responsibility to insure that our good times don't bother someone else. If you have plans of coming to the third edition of this annual day of silliness in the woods I suggest that you get your bike set up to run quiet or don't show up-simple as that. If you won't demonstarte this small amount of responsibility then I really don't want you there. For everyone else I look forward to hosting this day of fun in the beautiful Southern Indiana woods and hope to see you then.
